I know Jason White took home the Gold (big congrats) but how fast did everybody go? I know I saw a lot of cars in the staging lanes on Friday.

Read in another thread that Jason Cramer ran his personal best of 9.65 Jason White ran personal best also but it didn't say.

Hey Scot, you must have stayed at the Hampton. You had left your user name still logged on on the computer at the front door. I deleted the history on that machine so know one could use your name online. Shame we didn't hook up.

Kereny also went 9.2* at 147 or so also!

Jason Whites car also has unported aluminum heads and a hydraulic cam!

ttypewhite, nice meeting you!

I ran out of time trying to sort the tuning out on my car this weekend:frown: The new setup wasn't complete until Friday afternoon after we installed the cam in the pits. My best was a 10.6 @ 128. Best mph run was 12.3 @ 136:eek: It'll be rocking up in Norwalk in a few weeks. Unfortunately I will not be there, but a friend of mine is taking the car up there to race it:cool:

Kev, it was great finally meeting you as well. To see what you did to your car in such a short peroid of time was amazing. That thing was damn near torn down. You are one of the hardest working guys I have ever met. The pleasure was mine.

Thanks man:) Just wish I would have had one more day there. Oh well, there is always next year.

Thanks Mike! I was rushed out the door that day. Wish we could have met.

Next year! We stay there every year..

Scot W.

My new best was a 9.405 @ 145.36

Unported GN1 heads and hydraulic camshaft.. Lot's of boost!

My brother's Yellow T-type pulled a new best in the semi-finals. All the TSM guys were in the staging lanes and Laz was nice enough to help my brother out with a little tweaking on the XFI. You should have seen all crap talking that started when laz walked up to that car. It was good comedy. My brother was able to make Jason sweat a little. He got jason off the line by .15 seconds and ran a 9.8 @ just under 138 to Jason's 9.5 @140 something, not sure what jason's mph was. This is with what laz said was a fairly conservative tune.

Congrats Jason, and thanks a bunch Laz.

I was standing there when Jason saw Laz on the computer, man you guys have too much fun.

Kev, so that was you that had the engine tore down in the pits, I talked to you but kept it short so as not to hold you up.

Jim

Yes, I was trying to be conservative on that run and Laz didn't help.. lol It was fun. After the 1/8th mile I just backed off the throttle just enough to stay ahead.. That run was meant for the finals..

That be the one. Ronnie, the guy that does most of the wrenching on the car, put the motor together. This was the 1st turbo v6 motor he ever put together and was able to get a 9.8 1/4 out of it. I know Lonnie and Kip played a big part in it too, but you can see from the underhood shot that a Ronnie put a lot of blood sweat and tears into the Indiana Banana.

Brad,

Congrats to your bro on his new best pass and also congrats to Jason for his new best and taking the win in TSM. Laz always makes things interesting!:D ;)

Thanks, Steve. The car only had about 4 miles on it and a couple of hours of idle time trying to figure out some issues. They plugged in the program from the end of last year, didn't know how low the boost was and made a pass on thursday. It went 10.6 in the low 130s @ 21 lbs of boost and we were all happy campers. The next few passes were 10.3, 10.1 and 9.96 all at around 136mph. Never did get the car to hook. Best 60' was 1.5, last year he was pulling 1.39-1.45 the entire time. Another 10th off the 60' would put it in the 9.7 bracket and a little more tuning and maybe some boost and he might be able to compete with some of the bigger dogs. Ronnie was happy not to be "field fillers" this year.

When he lost to JW you'd have thought he was the winner the way our group reacted. Seeing a 9.8 and him pull a holeshot had us all fired up. He lost and our gang was smiling ear to ear. We don't get much help from the big tuners, so it was great to have laz step up and help us out.
