Well, I as you all may know its a earth quake hitted Asia and its now a disaster going on there.

I think it would be great if we could give them a little help, so therefore I have done a donation to the redcross.

If more people follow my exampel it will help them much down there!

Visit www.redcross.org and make your donation.

If this thread are in wrong part, then move it to antoher department.

Big thx Daniel

Earlier this day, the small country Sweden had donated more than $250.000 only through the Red Cross.

I am glad to see that the humans still cares about eachother. This give us hope for the future.

I have today looked at some pics at beaches I lived on 2 and 3 years ago, its so sad to see :(

Daniel

Yesterday, Sweden had donated ~ $24 million. Sweden is about the same size of California and has ~ 9 million inhabitants.

Yes its great, and this big tv collection will continue almost 2 weeks more. But unfortunately will they not find everyone out there... :(

The importest thing right now is to get fresh water, so they can limit the diseses.

Daniel

From what I heard the USA has 2 ships there making 90,000 gallons(each) of fresh water a day....

Oh Sorry ,,El Cheapo USA has 5ships producing 90,000 gallons a say there-----------my bad

Today, me and my 110 friends at work donated $4000, and the company itself donated $500.

Sweden is a small country but when the disaster strikes we are there to back them up.

The Swedish Red Cross collected in 1 day $35000

As Daniel said we are a very small country but when it strikes we are there to back them up.

Since i was on vaction last week and got back to work today i had to here some very bad.... some of my working friends told me that there private friends never will be coming back....:( what can i say to such a thing????

It looks like we all over the world has a personally greath since we all know or have heard about some one's friends involved in this disaster.

This area is a very popular vacation place to be in, and as well for the US people.

We are still missing approx: 2000 Swedes, and it makes me sad to look at the news when our folks are searching for there ralatives on the beaches and in the temples.

Kids are arriving to Sweden without no parents.....
Mom and dad are arriving without there kids.....
Some are just alone with no family any more.....
Some familys does not exits any more....

And what about all the poor people in the area that are striked???

No water, no food no nothing.... no home, no madresses to sleep on... nothing...

They said on the news that the countrys need all money they can get for 1 year and then 5 more years to build up the countries again.

150000 are dead so far..... more will die.... please help them all you can!

/ Uffe in Sweden with tears in the eyas...:(

Never thought I´d know anyone related, but I just found out that a close fellow-worker is looking for his doughter, her husband and their two children :(
