I'm in the process of installing a 3.8turbo motor in my '87 GTA and I was curious about the stock tach. My car came with a V8, so I'm assuming I'll need to find an in-dash tach that's calibrated for a 6cyl.

Are there any other V6 cars that came with the high MPH speedo and tach that have the same look as the GTA/TTA?

Is there a way to make my current tach. work?

Thanks!

Don

If you get the V6 cluster it's easy to just take out the tach and install it in your original cluster. The cluster is about $20 in the yard.

you'll have to get a V6 tach from what i'm told, i was too lazy to rip the dash apart so i got an aftermarket one and put it in front :D

Well, since my car is a '87 and the TTAa were '89s, I should be able to pass it as a motor swap from a '89.

It will sure be easier than the carb'd big block that's in there now!
