TTA vs GN SLIC direct swap ?

Like the title says...are these two stock location intercoolers directly interchangeable with no mods?

probably...seems like the problem is mostly in the scoops. I saw Trent's TTA Dunn/Mease SLIC at the track a couple weekends ago and the scoop was only a couple inches off the ground. Very nice looking piece but I could just barely slide my fist under it on flat pavement and that was after he put rubber spacers in his coils.

Scott, I was able to modify my scoop and get it up a little further. It was not that difficult to raise it up. I got about 3 3/4" now, about what my stock one had.

The mease IC with that tight bend on the input neck is the only way I can see it happening. A regular Buick stretch.. fugedaboutit.

To be honest I think a stocker w/dutt neck and alky would be plenty for what one of these cars can do.

that's much better...I know you were sweating it some at the track for sure...

so didn't you have a stock IC w/Dutt neck originally talk to me Trent :biggrin:

yeah starting to think that is the route I may go...I have a good way to go before I'm out of the stockers capabilities even after heads and cam.

Been there done that... Did you cut and raise the aluminum shroud?

This way you do not have to hack the stocker. Make sure you port the neck. Be creative with the shroud.

My 17 row Mark Jackson is no lower than the stocker, but as Julio said - you need a sharp radius on the inlet side to keep the height up.
