So for me up here, within the next month I will take the GN out.

I only drove it about 50 miles before winter 'as purchase'

Now I want to go on the safe side with number.

My setup is pretty simple, Single Hooker, TA49, 42lbs, Turbotweak chip (for alky) but no longer have alky (is this a problem?), Adjustable FP and MBC.
I will do a tune up, AC plugs CR43TS, PCV, MSD wire, oil change, new fuel.

Now what I need to know is what is my limit:
Safe Boost number?
Redline RPM
Fuel pressure

I'm going to enjoy the ride, no racing for me (for now lol)
 
I would not run that chip without alky. You need a chip made for your combo. If you run the alky chip without alky, you will blow a head gasket or maybe even kick rods out of the engine.

43# in the fuel pressure.

Start boost low, 12-14# and work your way up.

Keep RPM under 5200, leave it in drive and let it do it's thing.
 
What my max boost level I can do?

I'm still with stock intercooler, as far that I know, the engine/head are stock also.

Stll running the MAF with stock tubing too.

I'll get a new chip made and keep my current in case I go with alky again.
 
You can always pull timing and add fuel on the Alky chip untill you fill it up or fix Alky system..which ever the issue is.
gap plugs at 30 to 32... Boost dependant on Octane
 
I agree with mcasteel, use the chip for now (its better than stock) and just adjust it. Id go with the factory boost setting 15psi, then slowly up it till you see slight knock then back it down some till knock is gone.

The idea to get a new chip is also not a bad idea - best would be to just invest the $ in a meth system.

You are already asking how much safe boost so you need a scan tool. You can run more and more boost...until ya get knock.

Just get another alky system and a scan/monitor/logger of some type and start having fun
 
I had a ALKY kit installed, but I removed it. (sold)

I don't plan on racing, just nice summer cruise, plus this car may go to my father.
I don't want to add more whisle inside. I already have a scanmaster and gauge.

I will use premium at the pump (91 octane)

I just want to drive safe without blowing stuff up.

I just looking for reliability here.
 
Ok no prob, do you know how to adjust Erics chip? L8 setting, depress pedal 3 times fast and hold etc etc

if you dont have the instructions then visit his site, download the pdf file and use the timing for a street chip...tweak as ness

you can do it that way untill you order a new chip..you can send it back to him for redo but you'll be out chip for a week or so, if you have free tweak comming then no biggie
