Considering putting a 400 in, what mods need to be made so it works correctly under boost. thanks, Bob

A full manual valve body or a mechanical modulator would be one thing to consider. Since the TH-400 normally utilizes engine vacuum levels to determine pressure and shift points, boost would confuse it at part throttle.

Beyond that, a quality overhaul using good frictions should suffice.

Thats what I figured. Just wanting to know what most are doing when they swap to a 400.

I was considering a 200R4, I have a disassembled 84 GN trans, but boy, the good stuff needed to handle 500/600 HP is more than I can afford just to keep OD..

options, options.... :D BW

I went with a switch pitch t-400 from pae (Jim Burke)4000 stall and 1400 my car averaged 20mpg to the track and back and four quarter mile passes best pass of 13.28@104 with a poor 60'2.17 launched at about 3000 rpm(worn drag radials and I needed to make it back home so I took it easy on them and it was hot their)
