I'm thinking about converting to a TH400 in my 86 T-Type. It's spends most of it's time on jackstands anyway, but of it's actual driving time, it's about 95% drag racing and 5% street cruising so comfort is not a concern.

I'd like to build it once, and it will include a trans brake, etc.

What if any driveline or cross member changes are there? I assume I will need a new flex plate? Any info is appreciated, I need to know what to budget for.

Modified my mount, same flexplate not bad at all. Same crossmember

You'll need a different length driveshaft and a larger slip yoke as well.

TH-400

As you said above, with street driving out of the question go with the 400. I can't tell you how nice it is with transmission blues out of my mind.

Love the T-brake. Just make sure to get the right convertor.

Yeah, if you get a Neil Chance convertor don't talk to Marty down there. I've had mine in and out 3 times and finally had to send it down there to have a new pump built.
