Turbo Blocks...

Ok guys I have a friend who is interested in making an old T-Type (hotair) into an 87 GN motor. It was a turbo block and as far as I know the only differences is the intake and the the bolt ons. Can he use the block, drill a turbo return line and make good power? Any thoughts? I also have an old Turbo Monte Carlo block that was a turbo block is it trash?

It isn't as strong as an 86-87 block but will be fine unless you go 500 HP or so. Take a look at the photo guides on Gnttype.org for comparisons.
