Hey fellas, I was wondering if it's absolutely necessary to use the turbo "J" bracket. I have no plans on using the turbo heat shield but wasn't sure if using the bracket is still necessary. Will not using the bracket cause issues? Thanks in advance.

If you don't use it, you can almost guarantee the pass side header will crack badly in no time. That is a lot of weight to sit on the header.

That's what I was afraid of, guess I'll get it bolted up. Thanks for the feedback.

I have seen Mike E, among others fab up "hidden" turbo support brackets the bolt to the head and are under the turbo, not sure if that is an option for you.

I'm ok with using the original, I was just curious if it would cause issues if left off.
