Turbo Buick manual

Who sells a good manual for our cars ? Looking for something that can help a newb like me out, maybe something with a lot of good pics for reference and possibly even trouble shooting and repairs. Don't want to flood u guys with somany questions if it's already posted in a book.

There is a 1987 Buick GM Shop Manual that has 3,000 pages of info (also available is a manual for 1986 Buick with 2k pages). I haven't bought it yet but I plan on doing so. I found it on a site that isn't a sponsor on this site so I won't post the link. I wonder if any of our supporting vendors have this book available. With that many pages of info, certainly it would be considered the 'bible' of shop manuals.

Oh, I forgot to mention the Turbo Regal Engine Guide by Peter Hoffman is a good one:

Books I use:

1. Chilton manual
2. Shop manual on CD that was mentioned
3. Kirbans Guide to 1986 1987 Turbo Regals. More of an informational guide than a troubleshooting manual, but it is a great read.
4. 86-87 Buick Turbo Regal Engine Guide by Peter Hoffman as mentioned above.

hello people; IMO they all have there good and bad points. The factory one covers alot of differant cars and can be a pain. I got that CD but really havn't looked at it but it should be good. That Chilton one I also got but didn't show me much. There's alot going on with these cars and I'am still learning. But somewhere there's a write up on showing you where all the sensors are and basic stuff and that should get you going.
Here is the place to learn. Throw out any question and it will be answered.

I'd have to agree with the above. The Chilton manual really isn't a tool for diagnotic troubleshooting specific to Turbo Regals. It is a nice reference to have if you want to know what's involved in changing a water pump, heater core, brakes, etc. If you really want help understanding how to tune and troubleshoot these cars, there is no better resource than where we are right now.

hello people; I have that CD at home and (I think) the guys name but there was something like you had to own the original SM to get one.
I'll get the info. if nobody else answers.

I agree, great book. I bought it and it has helped me out more times than I can count... especially when it came to wiring diagrams.
