I am debating between a te44 and a ta49 for my daily driven gn. I have 36 # injectors. What would be a better way to go. I would like to be at least in the mid 12's, and the stock turbo just isnt cutting it. It has a lot of miles on it and will put out at most 17 #s of boost with an adjustable waste gate, and my chip is made to push 18 in first.

Any help would be appreciated

if you do a search of the threads you will find TONS of info on this subject. TA49 and TE44 are basically the same except the 44 has a inlet bell molded into it and the 49 is a two piece (stock appearing). The 44 may flow a little better and give you a little more access to your IAC. If stock appearing isn't a concern, go with the Te44.
 
It may not be the Turbo but your actuator as far not being able to boost over 17 psi.

I currently have a stock turbo with 108K and it's still working fine but I did have to recently change the actuator.
