Anyone see Turbo magazine's article on the N'tercooler in a GN? It suppose to have made 20.9 whp and 32.1lb-ft of peak tQ on the dyno. This was on a front mount intercooler. Think its worth it for $350-$400?

I'd like to know more about it. I went to their website and it doesnt have the article online. I guess ill have to go buy it. How exactly does it work? Thanks

I am interested in this also....

Probably cheaper to make your own though I imagine with a cheap used NOS bottle and one solenoid with some braided steel line.

If it yields 3-4 more mph in the 1/4 then it is worth it. I have a very small frontal opening in my car so the intercooler doesn't get full air coverage. This may be the ticket in getting the max out of my intercooler.

Thats not really a fair test on a dyno since no air to speak of is moving across the front mount. I bet in the real world the gains would not be half that.

Lol, umm well you can easily double that output to + 50 hp, with no real downsides, by just spraying a tiny 50 shot INTO the motor rather than at the fm IC... ;)

I'm a fan of Rally Racing, and have liked the Mitsu EVO cars for a long while. They are now available in the US, and though I won't buy one (prefer a new 'Vette), they come with a water spray feature for their front mount intercooler. The switch can either be set to AUTO or MANUAL, and in the auto mode it's obviously linked to a temp guage.
I don't know if it is a gimmick, but I think it is a great feature, and sounds like it should work. Misu went through a lot of work to put it in there, so it must have some merit. HTH.

The 2004 WRX sti on sale in late-May also has the water spray feature for its very large Intercooler! 300 horsepower!

Neat stuff! :)
