Yesterday I installed a PTE Turbo Saver and really am glad I'm getting rid of that pain in the behind stock oil feed line to the turbo, however I've run into situation where I'm having trouble getting the old feed line off. Seems like it wants to give me one last headache before it's gone.
The top part to the turbo oil feed line was easy, however getting the bottom off is causing me problems. Apparently last summer I've stripped the plug some while tightening it and now I'm having problems getting it loose. My wrench will not turn the plug. Since I'm getting rid of the oil line I thinking I can be distructive and just cut the line close to the plug and use a socket to loosen it.
Any of you guys that have worked with this know that it's pretty tight quarters getting to it and I could used a backup plan if I don't get it off with the line cutting method. Is there some way I can seal the line and leave the plug in place? can I crimp the line to stop the oil flow?
I guess if it gets really bad I can take the big pain method and take out the oil sensor and get the little block out that connects the oil feed line and the sensor.
Thanks
