Just for the record, Precision never sold this turbo under the name TE45 or TE45a. Here is the run down.

TE45 was produced by Limit Engineering out of AZ. This is the same turbo as our older T63E. They used our Precision compressor covers and turbine housings for a long time. This turbo is capable of supporting 690 flywheel hp when maxed out. It has a 63mm Garrett cast compressor wheel and a large shaft Garrett P-trim turbine wheel. Typically it came with a Precision .63 A/R turbine housing that has part number THB3-76 on it.

TE45a was produced by Limit Engineering out of AZ. This is the same turbo as our older T64E. They also used our Precision compressor cover and turbine housing on this turbo. This turbo is capable of supporting 700 flywheel hp when maxed out. It has a 66mm Garrett cast compressor wheel and a large shaft Garrett P-trim turbine wheel. Typically it came with a Precision .63 A/R turbine housing as well.

Both of these turbos have been around since the mid 90's. Both turbos were/are very capable units that have pushed full weight Turbo Buicks deep into the 10's with supporting mods and a well matched torque converter. We still sell them, but to be honest, they have been displaced by our newer Billet CEA technology turbos such as the 6265 and the 6765 turbos.
Hope this helps.
