Well I need a new replacement turbo and wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions on which turbo to get.

I want a good upgrade from the PTE-44. I was leaning towards the GT6131E because its an upgrade to the 44.

You need to provide more details of your goal.... and you did not mention your stall speed of the converter you are running....

I'm almost positive I'm going to sell my TE60 (that I haven't installed yet) and buy a GT6152S with the 4" inlet. I've started a thread on the 6152..... and I've yet to find anybody running one that doesn't like it. It is enough turbo to take a full weight car into the high 10's for sure.....and my car is driven 400 miles+ weekly.

Just my $.02

Just needs a 3200 or so stall to make it work. My "0-pump" 5 disk Vigilante should be just right.

You'll need bigger injectors when you upgrade your turbo. You can get away with smaller injectors when you are running alky though. The 50# injectors with alky are probably the smallest people would recommend for a 60 series turbo running lots of boost.

2800-3K stall.

Just want to keep it in the mid-low 11's. Not planning on getting a higher stall or bigger injectors anytime soon.

I have read up on the 6231e but would like to hear what times they are pulling.

TA/TE61 has run faster than the 6231

Just send your turbo to Limit and have em build you a te61 for $450 and pocket a few $.

Something to really think about. Thanks

What would be a preferred choice?

TE61 or the GT6131?

TE61 or the GT6131?If youve used both, please tell me which one you like better and why.

Fixed that for you;)If you ask that question, lots of people who own 1 of those turbos and have no experience with the other will say there is the best(like Don does constantly)

You could also upgrade to a te67....

Personally I like the old school stuff as its been proven.Id call Limit and ask them what they reccomend.

specs

precision told me getting the 6131 compared to 6152 that there is about a 20hp difference. They told me 6131 is good for about 620 flywheel hp & needs a 3k converter .6152 is good for 640 flywheel hp & needs 3400 converter. they are both good for high 10's :)
