how much boost can you get if you set your turbo tuner style.
Do you need to set the fuel higher and if so set it to what.

Yea man, you can definitely go wit da tuna stylin'. My GN was set up witit. Best way to go in fact.

For fuel? Set it to 11 my man. Set it and forget it.

Guys, I think he really needs help and you folks are making fun.

Anyways, I assume you mean tuner style by connecting the line from the turbo directly to the wastegate actuator. If so, then my car would do about 17lbs on a stock turbo and 20 on my TA-49 and THDP.

Anyways, just do it and watch the boost gauge closely...

As far as what to set your fuel pressure at, try 40# line off since I don't know your mods.

What year car?
mods?
chip?

86-87 stock actuator tuner style is ~11 lbs.
Most 86 -87 aftermarket chips baseline the FP at 45 line off and tune from there.

What he said. I was just kidding around, I'll turn my cap back around straight and act my age.

I do run my W/G that way though (external but still the same way).

Its an 87
walbo 340
hot wire kit
fuel reg
green strip injectors
3" DP
dual 2 1/2 exhaust
cold air intake
hemco upper plenum
ported turbo&elbow
A fast chip (not a clue about this chip came with car)
160 thermo.

Ok, then see what I posted above. If you are planning to add boost, tuner style aint the way to go with a stock turbo and stock actuator. I personally think that cranking down on a stock spring actuator more than 5 lbs or so is stretching it and you start to lose control.

You should make a known chip purchase a priority. A $25 Thrasher is a good start and a good street chip. Also, I hope you are using a scan tool/ knock monitor before you start playing with boost.

With the WG hooked up that way your boost level will be dependant on your actuator spring & the adjustable rod only. The stock WG solenoid is an electronically controlled bleeder. By bypassing it, you have to have another way to control it.
You can put a bleeder or poppet valve in line to control it.
