recently i been on the hunt for a tta.. I found this one on ebay around christmas and wasnt able to pull the trigger. a few months later im ready....well i see this ad on craiglists RARE 1 OF 1500 BUILT 1989 TURBO TRANS AM PACE CAR GTA 9000 MILES > and im interested... guy i spoke to is bill howel. he tells me that the tta is perfect actually he has 2 one with 8600 miles and another with 9800. but the 9800 is far better car than the 8600 mile one... turns out he said he sold it to a guy in russia and that one is gone....after speaking to him for some time he tells me a bit about the car. hows it a 2 owner car but it was in the one family and the son bought it from the mother. hence the 2 owners. he then tells me its perfect original paint car smells new and so on..... so i ask him for the vin and car number.... well he tells me its car number 1460 and to look up the car on the turbo trans am web site. well is did the car come back with vin 1G5FW2175KL248463. i then googled the vin and get this.. http://cgi.ebay.ca/Pontiac-Trans-Am...ewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item53de567cc4. turns out this is the same car i looked at christmas on ebay.. and bingo same car....but now its made to seem like its been a garage queen pampered.... if you read the ebay listing the seller says how the fender and bumper have been replaced...and all the scratches.... bill the new owner says its perfect no paint work mint...... after speaking to bill again on the phone he tells me hes unaware of the car ever being on ebay and bought it through a friend.....hmmmmmm more bull****.....well i emailed the ebay owner and got in touch with him..... well bottom line is he did sell this car to him through ebay told him he was a christian man and so on... turns out he sold it well less than the 17,500 he was asking on ebay...consideribly less!!!
in any case we are all in it to make some money... but this guy has been dishonest from the beginning and now its time to set a potential buyer straight... i dont mind someone making a dollar... but hell he wont budge from 22k hes asking .... now on principle i wont buy this from him because he hasnt been honest...if he would of said i bought it in december 2009 and it needed some tlc.. then ok hes entitled to make him profit....but to pass it off as a paint free car window sticker in window........hmmmm no good....

buyer beware its still a low mile 9800 car but not as described...

btw it comes up with a clear carfax....

btw he wont answer my calls anymore after asking him about the ebay ad. i guess he was unaware that you can google a vin.....
just trying to set the record straight of someone trying to showcase a car and not representing what it actually is since the turbo community is small i hope bill becomes honest enough to tell the potential buyer the history of the since he knows and sells it for what its worth....

the original owner is going to post here real soon as he tries to buy back his car 1460...as the owner now has mis representing the car in every way to me and others i hope people read this and decide what kind of trans am they are buying....

I too recall viewing this same car on ebay. Person who is trying to sell the car now knows just how tight-knit the tta world is. When there are so few examples out there, bogus stories just don't hold up to good research. Kudos to you for your efforts!!

i will post before pics and after.. of the same car. If i was a buyer which i almost was, and after the crap this guy "bill" told me i was so turned off. So many lies...... The car originally had some issues although a 9k car it was a driver 9k not a garage queen at 9k which its represented to be. I gave him a few chances while on the phone to just say look i bought it and it needed some things it wasnt perfect, and be up front with me however he stuck to his story that the car was perfect and all it needed was a cleaning..... to a unsuspecting buyer the 22k is a scam made to seem like a garage queen, which it is now but it did sit outside for 2 years .......i will post pics up soon and the original owner is going to chime in as well...hes a young fellow with multiple sclerosis and the time needed the money for medical conditions now after seeing his car for sale at 22k made to be portraid as a garage queens burns him up....he actually wants to buy it back fro the guy.....it was his first car and regrets everyday selling it....more to come.....buyer beware of bill

yup thats the one 1460.... i have the pics before it was fixed and all the stuff this guy bought on ebay to fluff the car.....will post them soon

Original Owner of 1460 Turbo Trans Am

O.K. Original owner Chiming in!! I am getting things on my end put together for a huge move to buy back my damn car. I can't believe I was so stupid in letting it go in the first place. I will be ebaying a lot of collectible toys and such on eBay under: ltinc or buybackmyturbotransam, feel free to bid. 15% is going to the MS Reaearch Foundations. Something good has to come out of all of this mess. -T

Someone in Washinton MI with a Pontiac Collection bought this car. Anyone have any info on this?
