I am looking for a faster spooling larger turbo than my pt-51 only I am confused by different companies. I understand the Ta- stock appearing , Te ?, Pt precision housing. I also understand the different .63 and .85 exhaust housings and how the garret is bottom efficient(spooling) and precion is top efficient. But when other companies enter like limited and turbonetic how can I compare the three? Like t series, 60, 60-1, 62-1, thumper. I own the corkey bell book but still having problems.
 
Pick a goal (ET or MPH), or crazy street car, and build your car. Stick to the plan. Work with a good vendor, like Cotton, or ??. The whole package is going to have to be considered. Do you care about MPG, how for do you drive your car, how much lag can you live with, how long do you expect your engine to last, would you consider alky, etc.

What turbo depends on what you want. Sometimes you can't have it all, and need to pick a path either one way or another. Street? Strip?

The obvious answer is any turbo with bearings is going to spool up faster, according to Garretts tests. More $$
