I don't know how guys can say that non LU converter isn't bad driving on the street. It SUCKS donkey balls and thats being nice. Obviously they don't DRIVE their cars that much !! Highways are a joke.. Heavens forbid if ya hit a long elevated hill.. Have a new LU convert goin in this week.

Sweet wagon, i am currently building a 94 Caprice SS wagon, also have a 94 Roadmaster wagon. You need to put a CC grill back in that thing, looks to much like a caprice. I have always loved the CC wagons, just wished they had the LT1's in them.

Don't think I could drive a street car with no lockup. Getting a simple 12" lock up from Pats or something else?

It started w/a Pat's 12" LU,then a Pat's 10" LU.They both worked great.I had the trans out & got a Pat's 9"NON LU,for free so I gave it a try.It was made really work good at first,but over time:mad:

Jim I am a die hard LU man .. even with Melissa's car!! we have both .. NON LU hasn't shown me anything yet :p and the LU is so much better for a driver
Oh havent looked yet but is the plug there for a LU converter ???

The more i have thought about it, you really should have started with a roadmaster wagon, then it would have been all Buick, could have called it GST, (Gran Sport Turbo)

Maybe in a perfect world:)

I bought the Olds for my wifes daily driver in 1998.When I came across the turbo motor,I never thought to sell her car & start w/a a Roadmaster. It wasnt in the budget (3 little girls at home in 2003).Her car was really nice and I got it real cheap. So I worked w/what I had.

Dan ,I have never been a NON LU fan myself. This was a first for me.I did'nt like it much either. The plug for the LU is waiting for you!:)

Wow,I didnt think this NON LU issue would be so interesting to everyone.

well had this thing for a few months now. Car is a blast to drive. Nobody knows whats in it BUT a few people looked at the 3.8 SFITurbo decal on the back gate and say to me "I didn't know you could get that in a wagon" I just let it go. Have put almost 3000 miles on it  Goin to try an get it to the drags before they close for the winter.
Ok Ill let this thread disappear into the archives :p
