Turbo

so i have a turbo for a carb, what should i check while i have it off the motor? there dosent seem to be any shaft play in any direction, but the inside of it is really dirty (the motor sat outside for 2 years). what should i clean the fins with? should i take it appart? i am new to this forced induction stuff. thanks.

on the side it says "AIResearch"

on the carb side of the turbo it says "M11" or "MII" on the side also

the fins on the intake side have stuff on them, what can i use to clean them off, preferably without taking the turbo itself appart

I just picked up this turbo system

Both exaust manifolds, all of the plumbing, intake manifold and the turbocharger... I am not taking it apart because I don't feel liek changing the seals, there aren't any leaks so I'm leaving it alone, although I am cleaning the exterior up with some degreaser and a brush, after which I will be spraying it with heat paint.


My question is what is the value of this system, considering I have intake/exhaust manifolds, the turbo, and the carb adapter for the turbo? Any clue? I'd like to sell it, I bought it because I thought I'd need it for a 79 Riviera but plans changed and now I'm stuck with it!
