The v3.0.2 update is available for download (and all new orders will ship with v3.0.2). You can get it by going to the UPGRADES section of the TurboLink Support Forum at http://www.turbo-link.com (click on My TurboLink).

The new version has the following:

Version 3.0.2

Bug Fixes:
---------------------------
* Fixed incorrect units on MAT in details screen
* Fixed Turbo Regal datastreams (XCNTS, PROMID) so they would work correctly in stripcharts
* Fixed First Time configuration screen - for adapter but no cable attached
* Implemented routines to handle "weak" and "noisy" data to prevent data drops
* Fixed some COM issues
* Fixed the stop bits - it now runs 2x - same speed as v2.13
* DLL and VB Version Matching
* Better invalid drive or storage path handling
* Updated 89 Turbo Trans Am to have same Special Hardware as Turbo Regal

Enhancements:
---------------------------
* Scanmaster X,Y,Z support (dll update / new datastreams) - 86,87 Regal
* Multibyte parms
* Auto Configure button added to Application Setup screen
* Cable Configuration checking before you connect
* V3.0.2 Update Installer is enhanced to delete and unregister old DLLs and EXEs to insure a clean install

Hey Ken,

Your info page shows "Fast update/Extender data chips are supported!" - does this mean if I had kept the "Scanmaster patch" on my last chip, I'd be able to see the (correct) data at a faster rate?

Yep! All ScanMaster datastreams (2.0, 2.1, 1.x) are supported (thanks go out to Bob Bailey for the help!)

That feature is sweet Ken! Thanks to Bob and Ken for this feature! I've been waiting for this for a very long time! :D Nice work!

Has anyone downloaded the 3.0.2 ver? I cannot get the download to work. It loads ok but I

cont. from last post.

cannot get it to update the 3.0 ver. Any one else have this problem? Thanks

paul

Paul,

Please email tlcustomersupport@acceleratetech.com so they can walk you thru troubleshooting. You can also call the support number 970-226-3867 and someone will be happy to assist. (I've taken a couple days vacation, so I'm in and out of the office)

It sounds like your Windows Installer is bent out of shape about something and they can help you get it up and running. According to web logs there are dozens of folks running 3.02 successfully, so probably something they can help you with in a few minutes.

all installed

All fixed, I needed to extract the files from the zip file to the same file directory and was able to then install. Thanks to Jason at the tech line support.

Cool! Glad it wasn't more "exotic"...

Windows can really be a can of worms in the way the installer interacts with the registry and how it wants DLLs placed.
