I have a 200R4 behind a small block chevy with an edlebrock carb on it. I noticed last night that my fabricated bracket to hold the TV cable with the e-brock carb was not pulling the cable it's full length at WOT, I was about a 1/4" short of the cables full extention. It was also about 1/4" extended at idle as well.

What effect does this have on the performance of the transmission? Is that 1/4" on each end of the cable's travel important for performance as well as life of the trans?

Thanks

The Tv Cable setting is ultra important. Line PSI, Shift points, shift firmness, etc.

If your fabbed bracket is questionable, chunk it and get the proper one. They make them exactly for your application Jegs, Summit racing are good sources.

Adjust it to as tight as possible without limiting WOT (wide open throttle).

Good luck
