Anyone know part number for the seal on the TV cable to the tranny?

Also, need to know the bolt size of the bolt holding the cable to the tranny??

Thanks!

The GM part # for the t.v cable seal is 25518260. The bolt size for the cable is 5/16x18x7/8.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the seal number. local shop had the seal today and he swore up and down the bolt was metric...although he didn't have one on hand.

he thought it was a 6mmX1 mm bolt. 20 mm or so long. but he didn't have one on hand.

can anyone confirm the bolt size from a service book or something? Dont' want to take any risk stripping it!!

Thanks!

I think 6mm is too big. I will check one of my extra transmissions when I get home tonight.

i understand what your saying if it is out of the book, just don't understand why the tranny would be metric on the pan and such though and then have a standard size bolt on the cable hold down. not saying it isn't possible or anything.

6mm and 5/16 are definetley different. 5/16 is almost 8mm in converting.

Anyone able to say for sure? sorry to make this so long drawn out......jsut don't wnat to strip out this hole in the tranny! ahhhh

what book is it your looking it?

thanks

Your tranny guy is correct 6mmX1 mm. Should be able to get one @ a parts store or good hardware store.

The trans guy is right, just verified on one of my extra transmissions.
