Typical scam?

In the event you get this type of e-mail when asking info on an item through e-bay, it may raise some flags.

First of all you must know that I'm from USA, but right now I'm located in ****** where together with my associate we run a vehicles park.
I am glad to inform you that the car is in a perfect condition, has been never wrecked or damaged.
It is US model with US specs and passed the US test emissions.
All the manuals and the original documentation are written in eight languages.
It has a Clear Title.
The car comes with international and transferable warranty and will be honored at any dealer.
The final price that I want for the car is US $5,600 including shipping taxes, insurance and handling.
I am a private seller not a shop and I have (for the moment) the privilege to buy this car for a low cost so that you have the opportunity to purchase it from me with a great saving from the original price.
The car will be shipped from Canada on my expense.
As a shipping carrier I will use DAS (www.dasautoshippers.com) insured, all the shipping/handling and insurance charges are included in the sale price.
It will take 7 working days to be delivered.
You will get the car with proper custom papers, clear title, bill of sale signed by me as well, the unit will be shipped dry, no oil, no fuel to your closes terminal near your location, and from there it will trailed to your door.
The payment is fully refundable.
If for any reason you do not accept the car or if it has scratches, hidden defects, or it is not as advertised I will even pay for the shipping back to my location if you'll reject it but I'm sure that it will won't happen cause the machine works and looks perfectly.
Because it is a large transaction we will complete the deal only through eBay Vehicle Protection Program.
The most important thing is that I have a purchase protection account for $20,000 and I assume you know what this mean.
In case we will close this deal, you are protected by eBay.
How you are protected by eBay, well, in case you will not receive the machine as I described to you, eBay will refund you with 100% from the whole amount which you paid.

I got one of those a couple of months ago. I sent a question to the seller about a car and got almost the same letter. I never replied back, looked to fishy to me. Nobody is that nice to eat the cost of shipping and stuff on a car worth $5600.

ummmm IF you can't see a scam ....wellllllllll when something is to good to be true it IS !!!! :biggrin: there is so much of this stuff because of the internet ... very easy to do :redface:

I don't want to be rude, crude, & socially unacceptable here, but anybody that can't decipher "scam" after reading the first sentence of something like this, should limit their vehicle buying to nothing more expensive than the "Matchbos" series of cars.
