As some of you have read my post about " Is my driveshaft right?" my latest news is kinda crappy. Just got the Driveshaft back from the Drive Shaft Shop ( Catco) the found out that it was bent in the middle 40 thousanths, and the maximum is 10. So they straightened it, balanced it and put new U joints on and Painted it a nice Black. Anyways a $100 later I put it on the car and go for a ride, same frikon shake. I then rotate the driveshaft 180 degrees and try it again, same shake.

So on Tuesday next week it's going to the same shop and they are gonna check out the whole car. The only thing I can think of is the rear end, being that is the only thing that hasnt been rebuilt ( it has 120,000 miles onit)

So if any of you gear heads have any idea what could be causing this shake let me know, It really suxs that I cant even drive the car when it should be driven.

expensive vibrator

A few things come to mind, tailshaft bushing on the trans, motor mounts/trans mounts, degree of angle the U-joints have,
pinion bearing in the rear end, bent axle, loose side gears
( usually means lots of problems)
hope that helps some, I have experienced most of the above, and when you find the problem, you'll be amazed.
let us know what you find, please!
good luck

yeah I cant wait for the day when I can go on a road and go over 45 and not feel the slightest wiggle in the car. cruzn57 everything that you mentioned is very helpful, I'll keep all that in mind. I just really hope the drivetrain guys will find somthing, even if they come back and say the whole rear end is junk, as long as I know what it is. There couldnt be anythibg worse than finding out "everything is normal" I'll keep this updated.
