upgrading turbo to TE61

I now have Limit Eng.TE51, msd 50,V2 fm,70 mm 3.5 maf,mild speed pro cam,ported heads,power plate,9.5 Vigilante lockup
converter,alcohol injection,running 21# boost,18 deg. total timing.I`m getting John`s TE61.
How`s the performance going to be? Will it pull harder and seat of the pants feeling?How`s the spoolup going to be? Please give me some feedbacks on your experiences with TE61.

Well I don't see anyone going into the 10's with the 51 but the 61 has on many occasions. It flows 920 CFM which is 30 CFM less than a 63 like I had. It is also about the max turbo for 50's and your spool should be fine but don't expect a night and day difference over the 51.

What torque converter stall speed is required for the TE61 application?

Some have run it with a true 2800 but a 3000 is optimum.
