i just got some new door panels (uppers) and need to take the trim off of my old ones and put on these.i have never attempted this before.any help would be appreciated.

Yeah it's got those goofy inverted nuts on them. I made my own tool from a piece of hollow hex pipe from the craft store.:)
 
snap ring pliers or if you're careful a pair of needle-nose pliers will work.

hey kevin have you sold any of them buicks yet?if i had enough money i would buy that 82 you have but instead i'm going to buy a N.A. regal out of the junkyard.

I just went through this last weekend to put new frim on mine. The needle nose pliers will work but like the man said, be careful. If you grip to close to the stud you'll strip it.
 
well i just got them off today and i didn't strip them surprisingly.thanks for helping me get them off

use an old antenna the base is the same size bend mast like a handle or use a 10 mm wrench
