Ok, here's the story, I originally bought this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...=8075406111&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
foolishly, i let him end early with my paypal payment, now there's no ebay recourse. What i was told, is that it's a 86 gn engine and trans, complete, almost ready to drop in. What i received was a casting # 290 1979 carburated buick v6 with a th350 lockup tranny, complete with carburated intake, stamped steel valve covers, etc... We email back and forth several times ( i kept all the emails) and i made all the necessary points of why this is not a 86 gn engine, but yet he insists it is. he even sent me a link from gnttype.org with all the casting numbers, proving i'm right? He says he called a buick dealer who researched the number as a 1986 gn engine code. He re-listed the engine, again stating that it's from a 86 gn, here... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...1621&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr2_PcY_BID_IT
notice that he says he'll post the casting number later...

what i'm asking is that you guys write to him and ask the casting number, and when he replies, tell him it's not from a 86 gn at all... the more he gets this, hopefully will prevent someone else from getting burned and i'll get my money back. Thanks!!! :(

Funny, I never got a response. All I asked him was if the picture on the auction was what he is actually selling. Guess not.
