just finished changing over to vacuum brakes. excellent. my car was getting to be scary to drive because of a malfunctioning powermaster system. if i was getting on the gas and then had to apply the brakes it would take a while for the brakes to actually grab . too many close calls. also every time i used the brakes the lite would come on. well i finally said enough is enough. went to a local pick and pull and got a powerbooster, master cylinder and brake pedal from a 1986 cutlass. 19.47 to the pick and pull . bought a new master from advance auto for 29.00 . yanked out the powermaster system in about an hour . took about an hour and ahalf to install powerbooster and brake pedal . filled master up with brake fluid ,put bleeder caps into fittings and bled the master . did not have a workbench or a vise so i c-clamped the master to a chair and bled it out. threw it on the booster and shaaazammm i now have brakes . hardest part of job was putting the bolt and nut back on the brake pedal. i ended up tapeing the nut into a wrench . i love turning wrenches.

Not to hijack your thread... but I just did a conversion on my T yesterday. However, I got it all fom the yard. The booster and MC came from a mid 80's regal, however the reservoir is kind of small as compared to my other vacuum setup on my GN ( got it from Red Regal T ).

Are there any major differences with this set up? The car stops fine, currently...

lol I just went to the local u-pull it and got the pedal, master cylinder, booster, and windsheild wiper arm, rear view mirrior, and a grille off and mid 80's regal for 44 bucks
