Well, after owning an 87 T (my first TR) for all of a week and a half, I had the lovely 'brake' light come on in the middle of town yesterday, and shortly thereafter, had to manhandle the brakes all the way home, in the rain no less. Smelled like the motor was burnt, but I was so frustrated I haven't even took the time to see if the fuse is blown.
Anyway, since my wife may drive this car some too, I just can't take the chance of the PM unit failing, so it'll probably be swapped to vacuum. I've did some searching and checked out gnttype.org, but I still have a question or 2.
How do you tap and route the vacuum line to the booster? Like I said earlier, I don't want to chance any failures so I want to do it right the first time. Basically I don't want to damage any valves or seals under boost. What kind of check valves are you using? I saw somewhere about a vacuum block for the TTA, could someone go into detail about that? Is that something I need to go along with a check valve?
Thanks for any help.
