If im using the comp cams hyd roller 218/212 cam would i produce enough vacuum to operate the brakes?

I have a comp 218/212 and I have plenty of vacuum. I think I idle around 15-17 inches. FWIW overlap, not duration, is what really effects your vacuum.

Oldguy, what cam do you have?

i also want to get a vacuum pump for the crankcase, is this going to make a drop in the brakes?

My experience with vacuum cans is they're crap. Spend the coin on a vacuum pump or consider switching to a non vaccum assist brake system...be it hydroboost or manual. My 2 cents.

then what is the half inch hose for with the vacuum filter? and the brake booster? what do you mean it doesnt use vacuum??

If that's directed at me I was thinking you were talking about those $30 metal cans you buy at Summit that are supposed to be a vacuum reservoir.

My Comp resevoir actually did make a bit of a difference, especially after the burnout the vacuum seemed to recover a bit faster. Was worth the cheap price for sure.
