Vacuum

I'm at the point in my build where I need to address vacuum lines. First, how do you repair a hard plastic line, or lenghten one? The tube that supplies vacuum to the A/C controls was damaged. I'd rather not have a bunch of floppy hose if I don't have to. Second, I'm using the entire GN dash and engine harness. The donor car had cruise, but I'm not interested in adding it. Do I need to keep that vacuum ball? I have vacuum brakes, does the ball help (just a little?) keep vacuum in the system?

Nothing to do with vacuum brakes.

Determine if you need a vacuum reservoir once you get it running. I have about a 3" in diameter unit on my Camino. Don't know if I'll need it or not.

Use small rubber hose line that fits over the plastic tubing to connect two pieces to lengthen it. Use small plastic ties as your "hose clamps".
