Well, some of you may have read my post a few days about about my TV cable possibly being the problem in my T-type. Of course it couldnt be something easy like that right??!!

Well, I dropped the pan today and found chunks of valve body. This is at the passenger/front corner of the trans where the TV cable mounts. Its actually right above the linkage for the kickdown/TV cable valve. So when you push the spool? valve in for more line pressure (I think, Im not a huge tranny guy), it bleeds out of this missing chunk on the valve body. Thus, I believe it is basically always losing line pressure, or "bleeding internally".

SO WTF CAUSED THIS? I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A VALVE BODY DOING THIS, OR BEING BROKEN/DAMAGED LIKE THIS!?!?!?! Has anyone else had a problem similar to this? This is just unreal to me. I was hoping for a broken clip or spring, instead I need a new BRF valve body........who knows how much those are??

SO, (sigh), can I get away with doing a new valve body (and shift kit while Im at it) and running it the way it is? Or should I rebuild the whole tranny? I dont want to do that, because if I do, I can only afford a 4-500 rebuild. And this car needs to be back on the road ASAFP because it is my daily driver. Im just so pissed off right now..............please, any opinions are welcomed. I will be truly shocked if anyone else has had this problem.........

THANK YOU

Don't get alarmed just yet, it appears that a piece is missing there but that is actually how they are casted. I just went and looked at 2 that I have on the shelf and they look the same. As for the bleeding I believe that "MAY" be normal??? I think you should wait for the experts to chime in before you go looking for a new vb. might just be tha gasket?  :D

If its cast in, then why do I have a baggy with chunks of valve body metal that fit into this area?? If you look at the top picture, you can actually see a check ball there!!!! This is not right.........
