Valve body question

I am doing a shift kit install for a buddy and the instructions are crossed out and hand written over by the manufauturer. My question is, where is the 1/2 ball located in the valve body. Is it in the center? Any trans guys out there that can help me with a bad situation.

Yes, the 1-2 checkball is right in the center of the valve body.
