I just got some of the Champion GN1 valve covers to replace the stock ones, and now realize that I need new breathers as well. Do I really need the ones that cost $50 each that seem to be the only ones I see any of the TB vendors selling? Also, what is the size I should be looking for? The grommets seem to be about 1" ID and 1.25" OD, correct?

So, what's the difference between ($50)

vs. something like ($5)

or for a little more: ($15)

Thanks

I recently went through this myself. I ended up with pretty much the same thing you show in link #2. They are TIGHT. I also bought #3 which is a total POS; the filter just falls off the base plate.

I just use the little K+N critters. Low restriction.

don't waste your money on the expensive ones. if you're even lucky enough to have two of the same internal style shipped to you, a breather is pretty much a breather. and if you buy two cheapies that are packaged up, you'll at least have two of the same thing, instead of blowing oil out for months, having people tell you that you must have an internal engine problem, then find out that you were sent two different bases, with the most important piece missing from inside......:oops:o_O
