Valve Cover Gasket Keeps Leaking, Why?

The valve cover gasket on the LH side keeps leaking out the back , I just changed it about 2 weeks ago and it's leaking again in the same place Is there any trick to doing this? Why does it keep leaking and what can I do to keep it from leaking again? Thanks, Jason

Your VC may be buckled and the nut that holds it down doesnt apply sufficient force. What I did was get the castle nut and grind the bottom of it. This will allow for additional clamping force.

Also make sure the leak is VC and not intake manifold. Since the intake can leak and look like a VC leak.

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. I checked the intake and it don't seem to be leaking.
