Also heard from a guy at work about
CAR-PART.COM. That website locates what your looking for through various salvage yards across the United States.
Already found several D/S and P/S covers off of the various vehicles that were listed on that link. Still going to see if I can find a set locally before I have them shipped. Also the nuts and studs I'm sure your only going to be able to get if you remove the covers yourself.

Yup, they had some too. Forget what the price range was like there. I saw them on there when I was looking too but found a set for about $60 shipped that a guy in PA was selling on craigslist so I just bought those. Like I said, I'll sell the one pass side if you need it.

Anything aluminum can be welded and repaired. The lip on my t type valve covers had a huge chunk missing that we welded and the machined smooth so you cant tell any repair was made. If any of you need repair or holes (breathers) filled, my ole man can do it but it aint cheap unfortunetly.

Yeah that's crossed my mind too. Just have it repaired. I had no luck w any of the local walk in junkyards today. Going to sleep on it this weekend as far as what I'm going to do. Replace, repair, or touch up. Touch up meaning just re silicone cover and cap off breathers.

Cheaper to just buy other ones than to have it welded up though. What kind of prices were they going for on car-part?

Just for the record. Dan Strezo at DLS is responsible for this! He built the engine and now its pushing a ton of oil out of his custom breathers even after adding a ton of baffles. Why do I have so much crankcase psi after a fresh rebuild? Guy refuses to take my phone calls too! Very unprofessional. I know a lot of guys on here look up to him but personally I think he's a piece of shit. I would definitely go elsewhere if looking for an engine builder.

I can't see how any more baffles then this will stop the oil from coming out. Capping the breathers off and just running w the catch can

I found valve covers! Junk yard out in Nebraska had a 86 Pontiac Grand Am 3.0L for the driver side/oil fill. Local junk yard had a 87 Buick lesabre 3.8L for passenger side. Sand blasted them and they look like new. Powdercoating them black and running just a catch can system w -12AN.

Good deal! How's the car been running? Still having blowby issues?

I won't know for a few weeks. Smoked 2nd gear couple weeks ago. Dusty Bradford is working on my custom torque converter and then once I get that back I'm having Jimmy build the trans in Mundelein,IL. Covers will be a week anyways getting powder coated. I'll get pics once I get it all back together. Hopefully get it all done in time for JIMMYS car show at the end of July.

Nice man, good luck! Lol, mine is a little further away than "a few weeks" haha. Motor is done, hoping to drop that in tonight at least.

what is the cause of your blowby issues? rings? pushed out head gasket?

I have no clue? Engine has less then 1k miles on it. Just had it built by Dan Strezo @ DLS.

Get that engine in!?
Just got it in yesterday morning, or maybe Saturday morning, the weekend has all been a blur of car and house work lol. I'm in the process of rewiring and relocating the holley and hopefully I'll be ready to fire it up in a couple of days.
