valve spring change

Has any one changed their valve springs with their heads on? What kind of spring compesser did you use? How hard was it on the passenger side? I have my valve covers off and new springs from poston in hand and want to change them out this winter. thanks

I used the valve spring tool from Kirbans...worked great.

Here is a pic of my valve spring tool. I dont think it right. Any one have one that looks like this? I think it needs to be cut out were the vave stem goes.

Yes, it does need to be cut where the stem would come through. Don't know why it didn't come like that. That tool works vey well, but with a little patience and creative placement of the pry bar in some areas. HTH.
