I've heard a lot of talk about replacing the factory valve springs. When is this needed?

salvageV6 Daily Driver Apr 13, 2002 #2 Probably about 8 years or so ago for your car. Stockers don't last too long and are nowhere near the rated spec. over time. My old ones I took off this year measured 60-66lb.s. Spec. is ~80. 112K and 135K. Worth doing in MHO.

salvageV6 Daily Driver Apr 14, 2002 #5 It also has 15 years on it. If you would like me to check one of your original ones, after you replace them, I can do it at work here. We have a very accurate machine to do it. I was glad I got rid of mine, should have done it years ago.
