I purchased a VDO boost gauge and I was wondering how you hook up the hose to the gauge itself? If anyone has any pictures that would be great. Thanks.

What's the name and model number of what you bought?

Was it used or new?

New they come with 1/8" compression fitting tube, usually nylon, and the 1/8" compression fitting with ferrules to NPT adapter for the back of the gauge.

Tape or teflon goop to the back of the gauge, none on the compression fitting straight threads with the ferrule that goes over the tubing.

If you are using rubber hose or something like that you may need a 1/8" female NPT thread to hose barb sized to the rubber hose you are using.

Teflon tape/goop over the gauge end threads at the 1/8" NPT fitting, and a hose clamp or cable tie over the hose barb and hose.

It is a 150 052D, GA-52 pres 30 pis boost ckpt, VM121003167D. It comes with a 7 foot hose and a "t" fitting and a couple rubber small hoses. I tried fitting that hose on the gauge and I can't seem to find any way to make it work.

Ya, I got the instructions for it, but I can't get the hose to fit into that fitting. Also, the piece inside the fitting is curved out so it won't come out either. If you screw the the fitting on the gauge, there is a little but of the inside piece sticking out, but not enough for the hose to fit over. Not sure if this makes sense, but its the best I can explain for now. Thanks.
