I know this might be a stupid question but what does the vaccum do? Sorry newbie :biggrin:

The boost guage is hooked up to a vacuum line and shows vacuum when you are not in a load situation. Boost is caused by load on the engine. I use the vacuum side to monitor gas mileage when i'm cruising down the highway. The more vacuum, the better the mpg. You might want to ask some of the resident experts.

Hey thanks. I have VDO boost gauge but I was lost on the vaccum gauge.
