I found the problem with my a/c -heater vents just blowing air from the floor. It turns out that the problem is the foam rubber seal around the vent control door detoriated. This lets the air escape mostly from the floor, a little bit from the top vents, some from the defroster, and none from the side vents. I had to take the whole dash out to pinpoint the problem. I hope this helps some of you guys with the same problem I seen recently. Now my ? is Where do I find this rubber foam seal or a replacement door with the rubber seal all ready on it.

Thanks
Nick

I picked up a piece of foam from Home Depot. It is a piece that is white, about 1/8 inch thick or less, about 4 inches wide and maybe 2 feet long. I think it was in the roofing section. Anyway, I trimmed it down and stuck it in there. I haven't even attached it to the door yet because I don't need heat for quite a while. It works like a champ, the door comes down and pushes on it. Problem 99% cured.

How did it look

What did the foam seal look like??? Was it eaten away or just from age???
Kind of a pain to have to take everything apart to check the seal.

the seal looked like a mess all over my carpet..completely disolved on the door. Taking the dash out was alot of fun .

I didn't take mine apart. If you remove the deflector on the floor, you can see the door. I just stuck in a piece of rigid foam. So far so good.
