Such a thing? Yanking out the charcoal canister and figured a vented gas cap would be the way to go. Don't want the vent in the motor compartment.

I took my charcoal canister out and vented the cap on another car and noticed the smell of gas in the shop:(I put it back in and smell gone.My garage is attached to the house so it bothered me:rolleyes:

Wonder how the older muscle cars pre emissions era get away with it? Stinking up the garage. Don't remember my old Chevelle doing that.

I've used a vent hose for a rear differential for the tank on my camaro (hose with the check valve on the end)

I thought the same thing and could not explain it o_O This was my 87 Monte ss and it had the canister same as the GN and it took 2 days and you could smell fuel vapours:confused:

If you choose to go with a vented cap then one for a diesel may work (although they're usually green). I know they interchange on late model stuff because I get diesel trucks all the time at work where someone installed a gasoline fuel cap. Then they start pulling a vacuum on the tank and starve for fuel. Causes all kinds of driveability problems.
