so i bought the car...lists of bolt ons....but since ive been a member here i have noticed that things r not right,or completely done correctly...like the car has a top boost of 24 pounds...but theres no alky kit,scan master on the car....my knowledge of these turbo cars is very lacking to say the least,i have determined that i have a red armstrong chip in the car,but i want it right...without just starting over from scratch and throwing thousands of dollars at it.....HELP NEEDED IN NORTH LOUISIANA!!!!!

24psi and no alky? Better get that turned down. Should be more like 16-17psi. What kind of wastegate and boost control?

First thing, TURN THE BOOST DOWN. Run 15 psi at the most with 93 oct til you know whats going on. And getting help from an experienced owner will do you wonders.

The first thing you better do is turn your boost down till you learn a little more. how are you determine the amount of boost you are running factory gage aftermarket gage? for starters.a picture of the engine compartment would be a good start so members can help you identify parts.

Good advice thus far... Turn down the boost. Then contact Brian at gbodyparts.com for a scanmaster... You need to know what the car is doing.... Then it's time to look for some alky if you want to run that kind of boost...

Just in case you missed it TURN DOWN THE BOOST. Otherwise you'll be through thousands in repairs so fast you'll have no money left for goodies. Try your region on the message board to get someone to check it out. This is key. Local help is most likely there and willing to lend a hand. Best of luck.
man thanks alot guys....very helpful info....i am determining boost by means of an auto meter gauge,i replaced the first guage because it was only a 20 psi vac/boost guage and would peg out....i have a turbonetics mark IV adj wg,with a turbo X boost controller mounted on it,my computer knowledge is not great but i will try to post pics of the engine compartment.....thanks again to all yall for the info....please ask any question you want to and i will try to describe what i have if that will help....does anybody no anyone in north east tx or north la i can talk to/trailer car to to look at it,as bad as it sounds,i dont even no how to turn down the boost!!!!

What Guage are you reading Boost from?? Vac-Boost 30-30 made by ???
I would be sure its correct before getting excited because if you have run 24 lbs Accurate say 10x without issue then it has race gas or the guage is Wrong!
