Vin # on Trans? Where do I look?

Is there a vin # on the transmission to asure car is matching #'s? Where is the li'l bugger if it exists?

driver's side, on a pad right above the oil pan... somebody on another forum had just asked this the other day, and I had posted this picture for them. This is on my '83 Hurst, OZ code 200-4r....

a few people have claimed not to have one, could be a replacement trans in those cases though...
