Yep, I used to VIN search and decoder. It is a very interesting resource.

I tried in vain to get production figures for my '08 LaCrosse Super and came up empty. I even paid ~$55 from GM Canada Vintage Vehicle Services to locate my car on their database and all I got was a list of the options my car came with (I already knew that from the window sticker).

I came across the Compnine site and it told me everything that I wanted to know.....for free!
