Does any body know how to wire in the VSS box into a 1982 buick regal with the 87 power plant in the car thanks .

Yes its a 1982 Regal with the 87 fuse box wired in to the car, It has the factory dash and after market gauges.

OK more specific. Did you swap the 87 behind the dash harness over to the 82?

Sorry brother its still the same dash and wiring from 1982.

OK well I cannot help you there. I can offer advice for a complete aftermarket speedometer/dash, or help explain/troubleshoot the factory one. But I have no experience with your situation. There are some guys here who have done what you have; so hopefully they will chime in soon. Whether there is any difference I do not know and I do not want to give you best guess advice.
