Still trying to fix that trans, huh? Same here.
What are you going to do with your old BRF valve body? Ever think of just rebuilding that one? I have 5 here with only one working correctly, and that's the stock one that came in my white one. I decided to try and do the task myself
taking it apart was no big deal, it's the putting back together and WORKING RIGHT is the scary part !!! Waiting for parts from Bruce. Good luck with yours!!!

I 'thought' about rebuilding it, but here's the thing. It turned out to be a Monte Carlo transmission (non HO) which Jack Cotton said can actually cause problems even with the BRF valve body and governor. The BRF transmission I bought, turned out to be a BQ valve body (and the 1-2 shift valve is no good) we tried taking it apart and sanding it down, but after running that VB in the trans, it killed the clutches, yikes. I know what you mean about assembling the valve body, when I took it apart, I was like WTH ARE ALL THESE LITTLE PIECES! haha. Good luck to you Paul!
