Gainesville is small college town and chances are if you see a car you'll probly see it again. Whenever I saw this real nice blue 5.0 mustang with a custom hood, nice rims and fat tires, gauges everywhere, and chrome roll cage inside the car, I would always be in my friends prelude(we switch rides to class so i dont have to put so many miles on the GN). Anyways, the prelude wouldnt be much of a match for an intimidating 5.0...Well one day when I was in my GN coming for from school with my car pooling friend we spot the mean 5.0...He follows me right on my bumper onto the interstate. I notice i have an empty tank of gas, I gunned it anyways. My car started backfiring, bogging out, and knocking like crazy and sure enough the stang passed me. We signaled him to slow down and go again, same thing happened...He started laughing at me thinking he had his kill, so I told him to get off on the next exit and go to the first gas station. As I'm pumping gas he is standing with a grin on his face by his car. He asked me if my car is stick shift, i say no its just an automatic(thinking to myself that this kid doesnt know anything about GN's)well We line up on an open 2 lane road my friend signals 1-2-3 and we go...he jumped the gun so i had no boost off the line and he toook a 1 car lead. As soon as the turbo kicked in i flew by him, up by 2 cars and only going about 60 I stopped and waited for him to go again...This time i went out rolling at 5mph with 5 pounds of boost and immediately took him, i kept pulling then decided to stop after an 8 car lead only going about 80 mph...we did it again and same thing...after the race he asked me if i had a 350...I was like nope just a 6...and then i asked him if he knew what a grandnational was and he said he had never heard of them...I grinned and said well now u know. And that was that. I'll never forget his face when I told him it was only a 6.
