wastegate rod

Hey guys: What is surposed to hold the wastegate rod to the turbo? I don't know what was there originally, but mine is just holding on by ?? C clip, hairpin, glob of rtv?

I don't recall if stock is a C-clip or the other type of clip, such as used on the throttle body cables.

Most just use an alligator clip as it is easier to use and unlikely to take flight when R&R'ing it.

They were originally "E" clips
